On April 15, 2025, the European Union reported a draft Commission Regulation (EU) amending Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/1670, which sets out ecological design requirements for smartphones, mobile phones other than smartphones, cordless phones, and tablets in accordance with Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament and the Council.
